The next day, Jarom woke up early and headed down to save us a seat for the parade. I got the kids up and put them in their cute red, white, and blue outfits.
When we arrived at the parade, I was a little nervous because it was freezing and my kids (particularly Dillon) hate being cold. Luckily, it warmed up a little and they didn't complain too much. Dillon loved everything about the parade and is so excited to go back next year. Braylon was not as thrilled and was content to just sit on his chair while Jarom and I continuously gave him tootsie rolls and taffy.
After the parade, we went over to Dave and Jamie's house for a BBQ. We ate a lot of good food and the kids loved playing with their cousins. After the BBQ, we went over to my mom's house for a visit. My mom broke her foot a couple of days before, so she was unable to attend anything for the holiday. She was a little depressed, but the kids seemed to cheer her up a bit. After visiting with her, we headed over to the Hilton Garden Inn to watch the firework display with Jarom's dad, Todd. We arrived at the hotel about four hours before the fireworks started, so it was a little difficult trying to entertain the kids in a little area for that long. Right before the fireworks started, the boys were playing tag, and Dillon decided to push Braylon down. Braylon landed head first on the rock/cement patio. He had the biggest goose egg that I had ever seen. We quickly got some ice on it and he was fine, but I was definitely scared for a few minutes. When the fireworks started, Braylon and Sadie fell asleep, but Dillon stayed up for the whole show. Dillon loved them and once again, he can't wait to see them next year too.

Also, I just wanted to post a picture of the new shoes I found for Sadie. I have been looking for the Skechers Twinkle Toes in baby sizes for months, and I finally found a size 3 for Sadie. They are not the ones that light up, but they are still really cute.
