The last couple of months have definitely been an emotional roller coaster for our family. In August, Jarom was unexpectedly and unfairly laid off from his job at CenturyLink after seven years. Needless to say, we were pretty devastated. After a couple of days of discussing what we were going to do with our lives, we realized that the best decision for our family was to move back to Idaho Falls where we had the support of our extended families. Our plan was to move in with Jarom's dad until our renters moved out next year. We were hoping that Jarom had enough contacts around Idaho Falls to land a decent job.
While going through those trying days of all of the unknowns, we decided to get out of the house and take the kids to the famous Preston Rodeo.
The kids had a blast and couldn't stop talking about the funny, bullfighters' acts.
After making our decision to move back to Idaho Falls, Dillon had his last tennis lesson at the Sports Academy. He has been playing tennis for almost two years now and we are definitely going to miss his wonderful teacher, Ginger.
A couple of days before moving back, we found out that the people renting our home were actually moving out at the end of September. We were so excited to get back into our home that we SO love in just a few weeks.
On August 28, we moved into Jarom's dad's house. Dillon started Kindergarten a week later at Westside Elementary. His teacher's name is Mrs. Holman and she is a new teacher at the school this year. So far, he is liking school, and has already achieved being, "Super Kid" for the week. He is such a smart boy and he amazes me everyday.
On September 9, Jarom turned 31! Wow...we are getting old! I made him a homemade carrot cake which turned out to be SO delicious.
On September 10, Jarom started training for his new job at Teton Toyota. He is going to be selling cars and is hoping to be very successful.
On September 28, we moved back into our house. We are finally getting settled in and developing a routine that works best for our family. Jarom and I frequently discuss how blessed we feel. When he lost his job, we were so depressed and scared, not knowing what this life had in store for our little family. Now, we are in our own home, surrounded by our families, employed, and have the most amazing children we could ever ask for. We truly have so much to be thankful for!
