About mid-June, Jarom and I took a trip to San Francisco to watch the US Open. Jarom's dad, Todd, also went with us. All three of us went to the PGA Championship last year, so we wanted to try another tournament this year and compare the two. The first night that we were there, we of course, had to go to another DDD's restaurant, Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe. We all agreed that the food was pretty good, but nothing really amazing.
After dinner, we went to the Oakland Athletics vs San Diego Padres game. We had a great time at the game and it was fun seeing the well-known Oakland Coliseum.
Jarom and I stayed at the Westin Resort in Millbrae.
Unfortunately, we were not able to take any pictures at the golf tournament, but we definitely had a lot of fun and we hope to be able to go to another tournament in the next couple of years.
For the 4th of July this year, we decided to stay in Logan to see what patriotism this town offers. Here is Sadie in her cute, patriotic attire...
We went to the parade, and it was surprisingly pretty good. The kids had a lot of fun and of course, got a lot of candy.
That night, we had a wonderful dinner and then went to the park and played. It was definitely one of the calmest 4th of July's that we have had, and it was so nice to not have to sit in the car all night long, fighting the traffic, after the firework show.
These 3...
have also been spending a fair amount of time playing outside in the sprinkler, riding their bikes, and mastering the game of hopscotch. We bought this Barbie Car for Sadie, and she has definitely become a great, little driver.
We bought new bikes for the boys, and Dillon is finally starting to ride his without training wheels.
I can't believe that we only have a month left before school starts! Although I'm excited for Dillon to start kindergarten, I don't think we're ready to give up this warm weather yet.
