Day 5 - Critter Country Breakfast and Newport Beach

By the 5th day of our vacation, we realized that everybody needed a break from the theme parks, so we decided that it would be fun to take the kids to the beach.  Before we headed to the beach though, my mom offered to take us to a breakfast buffet called, "Critter Country Breakfast."  This buffet is located in one of the Disneyland hotels and is quite expensive, but my mom was kind enough to pay for everybody.  I'm so glad that we went as the kids had the opportunity to meet many characters while we were eating and they even were able to participate in a march with them around the restaurant.  They had a blast!

After our exciting breakfast, we headed to Newport Beach.  As soon as we pulled up, the kids were darting out of the car and headed right for the ocean.  They had so much fun building sand castles and playing in the freezing water.  This was definitely one of the many highlights of our trip.

After playing at the beach, we found a little park in Costa Mesa and ate lunch.

That night, we headed to the Downtown Disney District to go shopping and to eat at the Rainforest Cafe.

We couldn't go to the Rainforest Cafe and not eat their Lava Flow Volcano!

Between all of us, it only lasted for about 30 seconds...

Day 5 was another fun and exhausting day for all of us!
