Fun at Temple Square!

A couple of weeks ago, my sister called me up and asked me if we wanted to meet her and her fiance, Travis, in Salt Lake to see the many light displays illuminating the block around Temple Square. Since we were not able to see them last year due to our horrible experience with Braylon vomiting all over the Temple Square parking lot, we decided to try again and hope that everyone stayed healthy and happy.

We planned on meeting Mary, Travis, and my brother, Tim (who was able to come up from BYU), at the Mayan Restaurant which is one of our kid-friendly favorites down there, but we were surprised to find that it had gone out of business. So, after working our way through the terrible Salt Lake City traffic, we finally decided on Iggy's.

After a delicious meal, we headed to Temple Square. As you come up to the temple, there is this beautiful, lighted tree that sets the stage for the other magnificent light displays.

It was FREEZING, so we definitely made sure to bundle up.

This is the beautifully decorated tree in the Joseph Smith Building. There were so many people in there taking bathroom breaks and warming up that we could barely manuveur our double stroller around. Needless to say, we were only in there for about five seconds.

All of us in front of the temple.

Overall, we had a great time spending the night with my sister and my brother. They are so fun to be around, and they definitely are a big help for us with our kids. We hope to be able to do it again next year!
