Sleigh Ride!

Last week, Jarom found out about a ranch that is about 45 minutes away, that offers "sleigh rides." The sleigh rides go out onto this huge ranch and takes you to a field where there are thousands of elk. These elk are completely wild, but the ranch feeds them every morning so that the sleigh rides are able to get extremely close to them. So, it sounded like a fun, christmas activity to do, so we decided to go there last weekend.

The drive up there was so beautiful and it was amazing to see the huge herd of elk coming over the mountain to eat. It was crazy! Here was our "sleigh".

We were able to get very close to the elk. They were not spooked at all.

Most of the elk were cows, but there were a few spikes (I'm getting good at my hunting terminology). Our guide told us that the huge bulls don't come down to eat until there is a lot of snow. So, we definitely plan on going back after a few snow storms.
