A couple days after Thanksgiving, the kids put up our Christmas tree. While they were decorating, Jarom and I were remembering that just a couple of years ago, putting up the tree was always a disaster... the kids were too little to know how to put the hooks on the ornaments...they didn't know where to put the ornaments... and there was always at least one meltdown because of an ornament falling and shattering. We definitely miss them being really little at times, but for the most part, we are loving that they are older and more independent. They did a great job!
A couple of days later, our elf, Christopher Pop-In-Kins, showed up on our Christmas tree.
In mid December, the kids and I went back into Idaho Falls for Alexis's 1st Birthday. While we were there, we made a gingerbread house and train.
We also attended Mary's ward's Christmas Program.
When we got back home to Logan, Christopher Pop-In-Kins had left to report his findings to Santa and had left these presents for the kids to open on Christmas Eve.
On December 24th, we travelled back to Idaho Falls to celebrate Christmas with my family. The kids opened their presents from our elf that night.
They loved the new Christmas pajamas!
The next morning, the kids opened their presents from my family and then we travelled back to Logan to see what Santa had left for them at our house.
Santa definitely spoiled them!
2013 was a crazy year for our family! Although moving from Idaho Falls to Boise in May and then from Boise to Logan in November was definitely stressful and exhausting, we truly believe that our family bond grew stronger because of it. We have experienced so many new adventures together and made so many new memories. We are excited for 2014!
